Welcome, come in! In June 2024, all the events and excitement of Plant Biology 2024 will unfold in beautiful Honolulu on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. Our base for the centennial year event will be the Hawaii Convention Center, with accommodations at the beachfront Hilton Hawaiian Village, just a pleasant walk from the convention center.

ASPB Stands with Maui

Periodically the Plant Biology event takes place in Hawaii, the last time being in 2017. As the 2024 Honolulu destination was long planned, ASPB has been closely monitoring developments since the devastating West Maui wildfire in August.

The Hawaii Visitors & Convention Bureau continues to encourage travel to parts of Hawaii other than West Maui in support of the residents and their businesses. Therefore, ASPB has committed to holding Plant Biology 2024 in the spirit of “hāʻawi hou i ke kaiāulu” (giving back to the community). There will be opportunities to connect with, more deeply understand and support our host city and state.

Honolulu is an amazing locale for the plant science community to come together, with its tropical climate and lush green landscape, not to mention its diverse populations and cultures.
