FAQs

All travelers entering Canada should review current entry requirements well in advance of travel. Many international travelers, including those from the United States, require a valid passport. In addition to your passport, ASPB recommends that you bring printed copies of your registration documents and hotel reservation.

Entry requirements vary by nationality. Please review the Government of Canada’s travel requirements before making travel plans.

Ottawa International Airport is approximately 20–30 minutes from downtown Ottawa by taxi, rideshare, or public transit.

Due to heavy downtown congestion and limited event parking, taking public transit to the Rideau Station via the O-Train or local OC Transpo buses is highly encouraged. It provides direct, indoor access into the Rideau Centre complex and the convention center.

Parking information is available at the Rogers Centre Ottawa at the rate of $22CAD/day. Nearby hotels also offer parking options.

CF Rideau Centre offers eight Tesla superchargers, one level 3 DC Flo fast charger (CHAdeMO & CCS Combo), and two level 2 Flo chargers, all located in the Green Garage. Standard charging and parking rates apply.

Business casual attire is appropriate for most conference activities. Meeting rooms can be cool, so we recommend bringing a light sweater or jacket. Comfortable walking shoes are encouraged.

July in Ottawa is typically warm, with daytime temperatures around 75–85°F (24–29°C). Evenings may be cooler, especially outdoors.

Canada uses the Canadian Dollar (CAD). Most restaurants, hotels, and retailers accept major credit cards, though it is helpful to carry a small amount of Canadian currency for incidental purchases.

Yes. Major credit cards are widely accepted throughout Ottawa. Your credit card issuer may charge foreign transaction fees.

Canada uses the same Type A and Type B electrical outlets and 120V power supply as the United States, so most U.S. travelers will not need an adapter.

Complimentary Wi-Fi will be available throughout the Rogers Centre Ottawa. Network information will be provided onsite and in the conference app.
