The ASPB Early Career Plant Scientists Section is proud to announce the 2024 ECPS 3 Minute Thesis (3MT) competition.
The 3MT is an opportunity for current undergraduate students, graduate students and post docs (within three years of graduation) to present their 3MT during a plenary session at Plant Biology 2024. This is a two-part competition.
Part 1: Submit Video for Consideration
Please read the official competitor guide to find tips on how to prepare a great 3MT presentation.
Submissions will be evaluated based on the official 3MT rubric. and the following criteria:
- Comprehension and Content
- Engagement and Communication
Winners of the VIRTUAL competition will receive a $1,000 USD travel grant to cover costs related to attending Plant Biology 2024 and competing in the Finalist Competition.
Submissions close March 8, 2024, at 11:59 PM Eastern time. Winners of the virtual competition will be notified by March 21, 2024.
Part 2: Present at Plant Biology 2024
The top five (5) entries of the virtual competition, as selected by the judiciary panel, will be invited to present their 3MT at the ASPB Plant Biology 2024 Meeting on the plenary stage.*
Grand Prize: $1,000
People’s Choice (as voted on by the live audience): $500
