 Getting a Visa for #PlantBio2024

Each year, many people travel from all over the world to attend the Plant Biology event. If you are planning to come to Plant Biology 2024 from outside the United States, you may need a visa.

Obtaining a visa can be time-consuming. To increase your chances of success, get started with these three steps today.

  1. Determine whether you need a visa. You can access the U.S. Department of State’s Visa Wizard here or from our guide for international attendees.
  2. Apply early! It can take several months to process a visa application, so don’t delay. All the links to research how to apply and interview wait time at various U.S. embassies and consulates can be found in our guide for international attendees.
  3. Determine whether you need a Letter of Invitation. If so, the request can be made only after you register and pay for Plant Biology 2024. Check out our registration page, and find detailed instructions for requesting a Letter of Invitation on our guide for international attendees.

You will find it’s worth the effort to get a visa when you join colleagues from the international plant science community at #PlantBio2024.
