Who will I meet?

You’ll have plenty of opportunities to get to know your fellow attendees. Beyond interacting in sessions, there are plenty of informal conversations at events designed to bring people together.
Where does it happen?
Plant Biology 2024 will take place at the Hawaii Convention Center in Honolulu. See the convention center’s interactive map. Just 0.6 mile away is the Plant Biology 2024 conference hotel, Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach, located on the widest stretch of beach in Honolulu.
What will happen?
Plant Biology 2024 encompasses hundreds of scientific sessions and other events over five days. You can expect:
- Scientific symposia spanning a range of interests
- Plenary sessions with speakers ranging from esteemed researchers to unexpected experts
- Workshops for building soft skills critical to professional success
- Poster sessions
Plus meetups, networking events, awards ceremonies and much more. The complete schedule will be posted in early 2024.
Anything specific I should know about?
First-timers can meet others at the First-Time Attendee Orientation on Saturday at 1:15 pm. There are receptions in the Exhibit Hall on Saturday night and Monday night. And Tuesday evening brings the legendary Annual Party, beginning at 7:30 pm. The Schedule at a Glance can be found here.

Yes, wi-fi access in the Hawaii Convention Center is included in Plant Biology 2024 registration.
What should I do first?
Register! By registering now, you lock in the lowest rate available. Registering by the Early Bird deadline of March 13, 2024 also gives you time to plan – not just travel arrangements and scheduling, but what you want from your Plant Biology experience and how you will achieve it.
